Reducing Work-related Stress


We believe that stress issues and therefore reduction measures are unique to an organisation / employer, and stress risk assessment and risk minimisation should follow the Health and Safety Executive’s best practice guidelines the Stress Management Standards.


Stress hazard identification must be proactive. If you have done your homework properly and undertaken a proper, well designed and well structured employee consultation you will have the important data on what stress hazards exist and sufficient information to help you decide what stress reduction methods are appropriate and which are most likely to work.


We have managed many successful stress reduction programs. We have also been called in to ‘trouble shoot’ many failed stress reduction programs. Most successful stress reduction programs have involved the employees right from the start. Most of the failed stress reduction programs have been imposed on the employees with minimal consultation.
