Me Time

Me time is doing something that is pure self indulgence. This is not selfishness, it is simply putting yourself first, allowing you to slow down in a way that you enjoy. All too often we compromise our ‘me time’ for the demands of family and work. We can even feel guilty when we take ‘me time’.

There are many different ways to achieve ‘me time’. You must chose what relaxes you the most and best suits your lifestyle. It could be as simply as taking time out to read a book, painting or gardening, or it could involve learning a new skill, starting a new hobby etc.

How this helps you lose weight: Dieting and losing weight often have negative emotions attached. You need to balance the potentially negativity in your private life with positive ‘me time’, to avoid an overload of negativity which may lead to depression and stress issues.
