LavaMoo:

A descentant of the Moo, LavaMoo live in actively volcanic regions, most commonly found on the edge of volcanoes inhaling the smokey fumes. LavaMoo have a very strange skin that is not only thicker than any other creature but also full of pockets of cooling liquid. Presumaly this is what allows the LavaMoo to inhabit these areas without cooking themselves.

Lavamoo have een known to survive volcanic eruption with little damage. Many believe that they surf down to safty on the boiling lava, however this is completely untrue. What they actually do is allow the lava to coat them completely, their skin keep them cool while they live of their blubbery fat reserves. Then when the lava has cooled and solidifeid they use their giant tusks to break out. Many LavaMoo do not survive their first volcanic eruption, however their numbers are so large that the species suffers no damage. If you have ever seen a beach full of seals you could imagine what the top of a volcano would look like covered in LavaMoo.

However the LavaMoo does have one major weakness, the cold. They have become so adapted to fit in with the heat of the volcanoes that they cannot move down to cooler regions for fear of catching hypothermia. Proof that the LavaMoo do not surf down the lava to the bootm of the volcano.
