I Remember When....

I remember the day, aged 52, when I finally had to admit I needed reading glasses. Was I encouraged by the optician telling me “you have done really well not needing glasses until now”? No, it was my wake up to the fact that my body was suffering wear and tear.”

We all have to face the fact that as we get older bits and bobs don’t function as they did when we were 20. Of course it does not help when we are constantly reminded by the self proclaimed ‘well meaning’ media and medical profession that many of our woes are self inflicted.
